The Sharjah Expo has unveiled its event agenda for 2024, featuring 49 events, including exhibitions and festivals held at its main headquarters in Sharjah, as well as its centers in Khorfakkan and Dibba. The Expo continues its leading role in promoting the growth of the exhibition industry in Sharjah, providing state-of-the-art platforms to meet the requirements of the economic landscape and serve the business, commercial, industrial, tourism, and cultural communities in the emirate. This aims to enhance economic diversification and strengthen its role in achieving sustainable development.

The annual agenda includes a variety of prominent local, regional, and international exhibitions, such as the Middle East Watches and Jewelry Exhibition, the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition (Ekaras), Ramadan Nights, the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival, the Sharjah International Book Fair, the National Employment Exhibition, and other exhibitions benefiting key sectors.

Abdullah Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Board of Expo Sharjah, emphasized the gains made by the exhibition and conference industry in the UAE for key sectors leading economic growth in the country. He highlighted the importance and status of exhibitions organized by Expo Sharjah and their role in embodying the wise strategic vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, towards enhancing sustainable growth, encouraging economic diversity, and establishing comprehensive factors of prosperity that make the emirate a highly competitive business, industrial, and tourist destination.

Saif Al Medfa, CEO of Expo Sharjah, noted that Expo Sharjah has accustomed the economic scene in the UAE and the region to the significant momentum in its events, carefully balancing between various types of exhibitions. This includes real estate, industrial, retail, governmental forums, book exhibitions, and arts, contributing to achieving an increase in the center’s visitors exceeding 2.5 million annually. He affirmed that the center’s strategy in preparing its events agenda relies on organizing and hosting exhibitions that meet market needs and the business community, contributing to improving economic performance across various sectors. The selection of events reflects added value to Sharjah’s economy, emphasizing the contribution of the commercial and industrial sectors to the emirate’s GDP.
