As part of the ongoing efforts to enhance medical tourism in the Emirate, the Ajman Tourism Development Department announced the success of a promising strategic memorandum of understanding with the Thumbay Hospital Group. The memorandum was signed in May with the aim of expanding and strengthening cooperation between the two entities. It also seeks to support the medical tourism sector in Ajman, reinforcing its position as an ideal destination for those seeking healthcare and treatment.
This collaboration includes the active participation of the Ajman Tourism Development Department in both local and international conferences and exhibitions, aimed at promoting medical tourism in the Emirate. This partnership has demonstrated substantial success through the invitation of esteemed doctors from India to visit Ajman, as part of a recent promotional tour held in India. This effective collaboration has led to the reception of the first group of patients from Nigeria. The Ajman Tourism Development Department provided comprehensive support for logistical services, visa issuance, and facilitated administrative procedures.
The Thomebhi Hospital Group has also offered special deals to employees and visitors of hotel facilities in the Emirate of Ajman, starting from October 3rd and lasting for a full year.
Mr. Sultan Ali Al Nuaimi, Director of the Licensing and Standards Department at the Department of Tourism Development in Ajman, stated: “This collaboration with the Thomebhi Hospital Group represents a significant milestone in promoting medical tourism in Ajman. We are committed to supporting our strategic partners and harnessing available opportunities to develop medical tourism in the Emirate, with the aim of enhancing the experience of residents and visitors to achieve common goals in the field of medical tourism in Ajman in line with the Department’s vision.”
Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashemi, the Director General of the Department of Tourism Development in Ajman, expressed his satisfaction with this successful cooperation and affirmed Ajman’s commitment to enhancing its position as a distinctive and unique medical destination.
