Data analysis of Google search results has confirmed that Dubai is the most preferred choice among 164 countries and cities included in the analysis as a favorite destination for relocation, according to the report from the American online money transfer platform Remitly.

A sub-analysis of search data indicated that Dubai is the top choice for Americans, being the preferred relocation destination for residents of 37 out of 50 states. It is followed by Amsterdam, Singapore, and Vancouver.

The platform pointed out that the results of the analysis conducted in 2020 placed Canada at the top, but in the recent search, Dubai emerged as the preference for those looking for a new relocation destination. It was the top choice for people from 60 countries around the world, while the other destinations on the list were selected by people from fewer countries. For example, Miami was chosen by people from 12 countries, and Paris by people from 10 countries.

The report also highlighted Dubai’s renowned cutting-edge architecture, vibrant lifestyle, year-round sunshine, and abundant job opportunities. It stated that the emirate is regarded worldwide as an exceptionally desirable place to live, which is evident in the report through a population increase of approximately 100,000 residents over the course of 12 months between 2022 and 2023. The rankings for preferred relocation destinations by people worldwide were as follows:

The report recommended relocating to Dubai for those looking for a fresh start in a new city where it’s easy to meet people and make friends from all around the world. The data used for this analysis was based on Google search queries (in all languages) to determine the annual search volume from October 2022 to September 2023 in 164 countries using the term “moving to [city name].”
