Data from the National Center for Statistics and Information confirms an increase in spending by visitors to the Dhofar Autumn Season in 2023, reaching 103 million Omani Rials compared to 86 million Omani Rials in the 2022 season. The number of stay nights for visitors in the Dhofar Autumn Season 2023 also increased to 7 million nights compared to 6 million nights in the 2022 season.

The number of visitors in the Dhofar Autumn Season for 2023 saw an 18.4% increase, reaching approximately 962,000 visitors compared to 813,000 visitors during the 2022 season.

The data indicates that Omani visitors numbered 666,307, constituting 69.2% of the total visitors. Visitors from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries amounted to 190,853, making up 19.8% of the total visitors. Asian visitors numbered 68,100, while visitors from Arab countries were 31,214, and from Europe, there were 3,740 visitors. Visitors from other countries amounted to 1,982.

Expenditure on accommodation increased by 19.4% during this year compared to the 2022 season, totaling 33,068,567 Omani Rials, accounting for 32.2% of the total expenditure. Expenditure on food and beverages reached 25,598,657 Omani Rials, constituting 24.9% of the total expenditure. Travel ticket expenditures accounted for 18.8%, totaling 19,268,818 Omani Rials, while expenditure on other items reached 24,693,979 Omani Rials.

Omani nationals contributed to 62.4% of the total expenditure, amounting to 64,007,411 Omani Rials, while visitors from GCC countries accounted for 22.5% of the total expenditure, totaling 23,080,186 Omani Rials.

Expenditure by visitors from Asia reached 6,316,147 Omani Rials, from other Arab countries 5,776,782 Omani Rials, and from other countries 3,449,459 Omani Rials.
