Emaar Properties has unveiled the exceptional technological prowess and human creativity behind the preparation of the legendary New Year’s Eve 2024 celebration in the heart of Dubai, gearing up for the grandest and most spectacular New Year’s Eve celebration.
The visual and musical extravaganza, designed on the facade of the Burj Khalifa, has been meticulously crafted by a team of creators and technicians in a 671-day effort. Going beyond previous seasons, this year’s show boasts 325 strategically positioned launch sites for fireworks, creating a dazzling spectacle in the night sky.
In celebration of Dubai’s ever-shining spirit, over 2,800 firework launch directions have been set to transform the night sky into an interwoven canvas of colors and shapes, adding more splendor to the display. A total of 15,682 fireworks elements will be presented in the performance, each featuring a coordinated launching sequence facilitated by advanced computer technology.
In perfect harmony with this stunning display, the Dubai Fountain is set to showcase a mesmerizing choreographed dance performance. The show will be directed by Peter Kopik, the Artistic Director for Fountain Choreography at WET, bringing nearly three decades of expertise to the field. The Dubai Fountain show for this year is expected to feature a magical blend of water, light, and music in perfect synchronization with the Burj Khalifa display.
The Dubai Fountain display features over a thousand MiniShooter mini nozzles for creating stunning water formations, along with dozens of larger and faster HyperShooters and XtremeShooters to launch water up to 150 meters high. Additionally, hundreds of Oarsmen and Fan Oarsmen pumps add sophistication and smoothness to the water dance. The fountain will be illuminated by over 6,600 lights and 127 twinkling strands, while 6,700 mist nozzles will create an enchanting atmosphere with misty effects.
