The National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification has completed a project to plant 150,000 local trees in Taif National Park in Sised, where (Sidr, Talh, Al-Sayyal, Al-Dahia, and Al-Salam) were planted, in addition to pastoral plants (Al-Shath and Hena), as part of the work of the National Afforestation Program to plant 10 billion trees, in order to achieve the objectives of the Saudi Green Initiative.
The project is distributed in 8 separate locations of the park’s area of about 28 million square meters, as it is one of the largest wild parks in the Makkah region and one of the oldest parks in the Kingdom, with trees ranging from two to two and a half years, all irrigated using treated water.
