Flydubai announced today the launch of regular flights to four new destinations in Europe, bringing the carrier’s network in Europe to 43 destinations in 21 countries.
Flydubai became the first Emirati carrier to operate direct flights to Basel Mulhouse Freiburg EuroAirport from August 2, 2024. This is in addition to its direct flights to the Baltic countries, including Riga International Airport in Latvia starting from October 11, as well as Tallinn Airport in Estonia and Vilnius International Airport in Lithuania from October 12, 2024.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai, stated, “We are delighted to see our network growing larger than ever with the launch of new destinations, covering 126 destinations today, 60% of which were previously unserved destinations not directly connected to Dubai or the UAE.”
He added, “Our new services to the Baltic region and Basel will enable more people to travel easily through Dubai’s aviation hub, whether visiting Dubai or continuing their journey through the Flydubai network or beyond through our codeshare partnership with Emirates.”
Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce at Flydubai, stated, “Europe is an important market for Flydubai, and we are committed to providing convenient and reliable services for more travelers with prestigious onboard products and passenger experiences.”
He further mentioned, “With the addition of Basel, Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius, we look forward to welcoming more travelers from Europe to Dubai and beyond to other destinations on our network, including Malaysia, the Maldives, Mombasa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Zanzibar.”
The flights will be operated from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, and these services will be part of codeshare flights with Emirates, offering passengers more options for connecting flights through Dubai International Airport. The business class fares for round-trip flights from Dubai to Basel start from AED 13,000, and the economy class basic fares start from AED 1,500. Business class round-trip fares from Basel to Dubai start from CHF 3,325, and economy class basic fares start from CHF 500.
For flights from Dubai to Riga, business class round-trip fares start from AED 7,060, and economy class basic fares start from AED 1,920. Business class round-trip fares from Riga to Dubai start from EUR 1,370, and economy class basic fares start from EUR 380.
Business class round-trip fares from Dubai to Tallinn start from AED 10,400, and economy class basic fares start from AED 2,100. Business class round-trip fares from Tallinn to Dubai start from EUR 2,100, and economy class basic fares start from EUR 490.
Business class round-trip fares from Dubai to Vilnius start from AED 7,060, and economy class basic fares start from AED 2,180. Business class round-trip fares from Vilnius to Dubai start from EUR 1,370, and economy class basic fares start from EUR 380.
