The Second Vice President of the Amman Chamber of Commerce Bahjat Hamdan discussed with the Deputy Ambassador of Tunisia to the Kingdom of Jordan, Mohamed Ali Benhabib, mechanisms to enhance cooperation in the field of tourism between the two countries.

In a press statement on Sunday, Hamdan stressed the need to enhance tourism cooperation and facilitate the flow of tourists between the two countries, in addition to increasing joint tourism promotion for the Kingdom and Tunisia through the two countries’ specialized companies.

He stressed the need for the two countries to work with a clear methodological institution, follow up and evaluate the results of mutual visits, activate memorandums of cooperation, exploit the opportunities available in the tourism sector in Jordan and Tunisia, and work on opportunities for improvement.

He pointed to the importance of having multiple airlines to transport tourists between the two countries, as this will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of these companies, which leads to reducing ticket prices, in addition to holding meetings with airlines to urge them to operate low-cost flights between the two countries.

During the meeting, which was held at the Chamber’s headquarters, Hamdan pointed out that arrangements are in place to organize a visit for a delegation of Jordanian tourism and travel agents, after Ramadan, to Tunisia to familiarize them with the potential and tourist sites in Jordan.
