The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and South Sharqiya Governorate launched the executive program (Sunday, February 25) for (Sur Capital of Arab Tourism 2024), which begins with the inauguration of the Maritime Heritage Festival, as this coincides with the Sultanate of Oman’s celebration of the Arab Tourism Day, which falls on February 25 of each year, and the executive program includes many activities, events, media and marketing campaigns and initiatives for the state of Sur in particular and the Governorate of South Sharqiya in general
The launch ceremony of the program, which was held at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in the Wilayat of Sur, was sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Saidi, Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, and in the presence of His Excellency Salem bin Mohammed Al-Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, His Excellency Dr. Yahya bin Badr Al-Maawali, Governor of South Sharqiya, and His Excellency Dr. Bandar bin Fahd Al Fahid, President of the Arab Tourism Organization.
