The historic Emirate Palace stands proudly in the Abi Al Saud neighborhood in Najran, serving as a national and cultural symbol of the place’s history and civilization. It represents a visual model of human creative ability in architecture and construction, acting as a bridge for communication between generations and serving as an inspirational cultural framework for visitors and tourists.

Built in 1363 AH (1944 CE) on an area of 6252 square meters, the historic Emirate Palace in Najran consists of three floors and was originally constructed as the headquarters for the Emirate of Najran region and its government departments at the time. The palace includes the Prince’s Council chamber, designated for receiving guests and official events, a dining room, a coffee preparation room, and a storage room. It also comprises 17 rooms serving as living quarters, rooms for food and tool storage, in addition to four rooms for livestock storage, and 12 other rooms.

In the courtyard of the palace, there is an ancient well dating back to pre-Islamic times, with its lower part built using burnt clay. The high walls of the palace are adorned with four round towers, known as “Qasabat,” located on its four corners, used for guarding the palace in the past.

The historic Emirate Palace is increasingly attracting attention from visitors and tourists due to its significant historical and cultural heritage value. Its location in an area with tourist attractions, such as popular markets like the Jannabi market, traditional leather industries, pottery shops, and stores selling traditional clothing for men and women, further enhances its appeal.
