Minister of Heritage and Tourism: The tourism sector in Dhofar Governorate is growing rapidly

His Excellency Salem bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, confirmed that the tourism sector is growing rapidly in the Governorate of Dhofar, and that a number of tourism projects are currently being implemented in the governorate, and others are being discussed with investors from within the Sultanate of Oman and neighboring countries in the region.

Al Mahrouqi said that these projects will enhance the position of the Sultanate of Oman in general and the Governorate of Dhofar in particular in competitiveness in this field through the quality of products and investments that link the Governorate of Dhofar with the outside world through various airlines, including direct lines with some countries and markets exporting tourism, especially from Europe and Russia.

He added that this link enhances the position of the Sultanate of Oman on the map of travel and tourism in traditional markets in addition to targeting new markets

He pointed to the importance of contributing and committing to achieving the objectives of local content, contributing to the labor market, and applying sustainability policies and standards in the various tourism sectors.
