Ismail Ibrahim Appointed General Manager of Mercure Muscat Hotel within Accor’s Global Hotel Chain

Al Qalaa Hotel Management Company, the owner of the right to use the “Mercure” brand under Accor, one of the largest hotel chains in the world and a global leader in the hospitality industry, announced the opening of its new hotel in the heart of the Omani capital, Muscat, and the appointment of Ismail Ibrahim as the hotel’s general manager to lead the team in line with the tourism and economic movement in the Sultanate.

Ismail Ibrahim, who holds a degree in Global Hotel Management from Alexandria University, one of the oldest academic institutions in Egypt, has over 20 years of regional experience in tourism and hospitality. He has held multiple leadership roles in prominent hotels in Oman, the UAE, and Egypt, including Hilton, Marriott, Mövenpick, Sonesta, and Wyndham.

Through his wealth of knowledge and regional expertise, Ismail Ibrahim aims to elevate the “Mercure Muscat” brand and strengthen its prestigious reputation by focusing on strategic plans aimed at further growth and reaching higher levels in regional and international markets.

The new general manager of the hotel, Ismail Ibrahim, said: “I am delighted to join Accor’s team, which is known for its high level of luxury and sophistication. I look forward to working passionately with this exceptional team to continue our journey towards greater successes and achievements.”

Ibrahim added: “The hotel was established with a high level of luxury and elegance to host business travelers and tourists looking to enjoy their vacations in Oman. Its location was carefully chosen in the Al Khuwair area, surrounded by a quiet environment on Doha Al-Adab Street, with specifications ranging from four to five stars.”

He continued: “We made significant efforts with the assistance of a group of world-class experts to bring the hotel to international and high-quality standards. We will strive to provide exceptional service to ensure comfort and luxury for our customers.”

“Mercure Muscat” enjoys a strategic location in the city center, close to the airport, government offices, private hospitals, and large markets, as well as being near cafes and Omani, Eastern, Western, and international restaurants. The hotel exterior is adorned with granite at the main entrance and royal gold lighting around the building, with black double-glazed soundproof and heat-resistant windows, reflecting a high level of luxury and sophistication.

The hotel building consists of 10 floors, with a built-up area of 1,600 square meters, including 186 rooms and suites of high-quality standards. The hotel also includes two underground levels for parking, a wedding and conference hall, meeting rooms, a pool, jacuzzi, gym, sauna, steam room, and health club.
