“Al Qanah,” the waterfront destination in Abu Dhabi, has announced a new addition to its collection, the “Abu Dhabi Butterfly Park,” which is scheduled to open its doors at the beginning of 2024.
The “Abu Dhabi Butterfly Park” will be located next to the “National Aquarium” in “Al Qanah” and will serve as a sanctuary for more than 40 species of butterflies, featuring over 2,000 butterflies along with a variety of plants and animals.
The project will consist of three zones: Asia, the Americas, and “Eden Café.” Guests will embark on an adventure as they explore the vibrant tropical gardens, each drawing inspiration from the unique ecosystems of Asia, Central, and South America.
Visitors to the “Abu Dhabi Butterfly Park” will have the opportunity to observe butterflies in their natural environment and interact with them freely. Insect species will be carefully showcased in enclosures along the designated path, and exhibits featuring caterpillars will provide a live presentation of the captivating development of these creatures.
The “Abu Dhabi Butterfly Park” aims to integrate an educational element and invites visitors of all ages to delve into the world of these fascinating creatures and other important pollinators, such as bees. One prominent educational feature will be the exhibition showcasing dwarf honeybees. Additionally, the gardens will be available for school field trips, providing a learning environment for students to explore and discover.
