For the first time in the Middle East, the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), an entity of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), hosted the Comprehensive Surveillance Seminar on Influenza and Other Respiratory Viruses in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and with the support of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP).
The consultation brought together more than 100 participants, including representatives from the GDS laboratory in 60 countries, and international experts to develop and implement a targeted global methodology to ensure preparedness and response to influenza and respiratory virus pandemics.
