The initiative, under the supervision of the Supreme Committee for Development and Citizens Affairs in Dubai, aims to enhance the integration of retirees and help them make the most of their leisure time, positively contributing to their mental and physical well-being. This enables them to contribute to community service, development efforts, and maintain their identity in line with their capabilities and preferences.

The tourist trips began with a week-long journey to Sri Lanka, including a variety of daily activities and programs focused on cultural, charitable, social, entertainment, and health aspects for retirees.

The initiative to organize a series of tourist trips for retirees at the DZKhir Club aligns with the objectives of the Farjan Fund. Established in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and launched by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, the fund aims to finance social ideas and projects in neighborhoods and residential communities in Dubai. It seeks to enhance the quality of life for citizens, economically and socially empowering them. This initiative aims to show appreciation for retirees’ contributions, strengthen bonds, build friendships, and enhance their physical and mental well-being.

Furthermore, the initiative aligns with Dubai’s Social Agenda 33, which seeks to empower the most effective and proactive social system in protection, care, and empowerment. It aims to develop a model that enhances social protection and care for all segments of society, with retirees at its core.

The launch of trips for retirees to different destinations worldwide achieves the goals of the DZKhir Club, aiming to empower and integrate retirees, enhance their participation in community life, prevent social isolation, and focus on improving their quality of life in terms of health, culture, and mental well-being. It provides them with opportunities to enjoy life through a range of unique activities, exploring different cultures and engaging in new hobbies.”
