Ajman’s Department of Tourism Development recently announced an intensive awareness campaign targeting the vacation homes sector.
The campaign aims to raise awareness among tourism sector investors about the licensing requirements and necessary permits for engaging in this emerging tourism activity in the emirate.
His Excellency Director General of the Department, Mahmoud Khalil Al Hashemi, emphasized that the campaign aims to familiarize investors with the Amiri Decree No. 6 of 2023 regulating vacation homes in Ajman. Workshops will be provided to empower investors to capitalize on this investment opportunity, opening new avenues for tourism investment in the emirate and encouraging more investors to benefit from the distinctive tourism growth in the emirate and the country.
Al Hashemi added that the department seeks to establish cooperation agreements with leading booking platforms to regulate the process and establish a clear legal framework for offering properties on those platforms, benefiting all stakeholders.
Vacation home services in Ajman were launched in 2023 to enhance the tourism sector and increase the emirate’s attractiveness to visitors, following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman. This initiative aligns with the strategic vision for tourism development in Ajman according to Amiri Decree No. 03 of 2012.
