A rich cultural experience awaits visitors to this year’s Ramadan season, organized by the Ministry of Culture, blending the past with the present in an innovative manner. The event schedule aims to revive the cultural and social customs and traditions that have been ingrained in Riyadh’s community since ancient times.

Under the slogan “Anwarat Layalina,” held on Al-Thumairy Street in historical downtown Riyadh, the diverse events cater to all family members, highlighting the values of the blessed month in a modern context, deeply rooted in the community’s culture, history, and authenticity.

The season includes various field activities, in national partnership with government, private, and non-profit sectors, starting half an hour before Iftar and continuing until the early hours of dawn. These activities include the Thurya Feast, where visitors experience a distinctive Iftar, and a comprehensive Suhoor in interactive atmospheres. The Zell Market area offers a cultural excursion through a range of stores featuring products associated with the community’s heritage and traditions. Additionally, the Noor Exhibition deepens understanding and awareness of the month’s value and spirituality.

The observation area provides an interactive experience, including astronomical observations, allowing visitors to observe the crescent moon and discover the moon’s phases throughout the holy month. The Art Beacon area showcases traditional crafts through interactive educational activities. The Siraaj Zone tells the story of the collection of the Holy Qur’an, Saudi efforts in its preservation, and offers experiences such as Quran restoration, decoration, and wrapping for acquisition or gifting.

The Noor Imprint area reinforces the values of charity and giving, allowing visitors to experience a spiritual and social experience by purchasing gifts or donation coupons instantly in collaboration with relevant charitable organizations.

During Ramadan, the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with several national entities, aims to revive spiritual, cultural, and social aspects, consolidating them under one umbrella to establish the general identity of the season. This is achieved by creating a unique character through innovative interactive activities, both in physical and virtual realms, in line with the wise leadership’s keenness to preserve the Kingdom’s cultural and civilizational heritage, and to achieve one of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in its cultural aspects.
