For the second year in a row, the Burj Khalifa, one of the world’s most famous landmarks, has claimed the top spot for generating the highest ticket sales revenues.

The American network “Bounce” had anticipated that Burj Khalifa would secure the first place in generating the most ticket sales revenue globally in 2023, surpassing other renowned global landmarks for the second consecutive year. It was also expected to rank sixth in terms of popularity worldwide.

“Bounce,” a luggage storage service network, determined its results regarding the world’s most popular and profitable landmarks based on various factors such as annual visitor numbers, admission prices, TripAdvisor ratings, Instagram posts, and more.

Analyzing the admission prices and visitor numbers of the most popular landmarks globally, with a general admission ticket costing around €41 (approximately $37), and with over 17 million visitors in 2022, it was expected that Burj Khalifa would surpass landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House in Australia, the Empire State Building in the United States, Ha Long Bay in Vietnam, Palace of Versailles, Louvre Museum, Eiffel Tower in Paris, the London Eye in England, the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, and Sagrada Familia in Spain this year.

Regarding Burj Khalifa’s expected sixth place ranking among the most popular landmarks worldwide, “Bounce” mentioned that these results were based on TripAdvisor ratings, TikTok views, Google search trends, admission prices, and the number of Instagram posts.

Burj Khalifa received a score of 7.20 out of a final total of 10, with a 4.5 rating on TripAdvisor, 20.3 million Google search results, 7.2 million Instagram posts, and 5.5 billion TikTok views.

The American network described Burj Khalifa as a stunning skyscraper located in Dubai, officially opened on January 4, 2010, with observation decks on levels 124, 125, and 148, allowing tourists to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views.
