Dubai International Airport to welcome 87 million passengers in 2023

Dubai Airports said that Dubai International Airport witnessed a significant increase in passenger numbers during 2023, with the total number of passengers reaching 86,994,365 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 31.7%, exceeding the number of passengers recorded in 2019 (86.4 million).

The figures were mainly driven by the strong growth in the second half, during which the number of passengers reached 45.4 million.

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, said: “In 2023, Dubai International Airport (DXB) achieved a remarkable milestone, welcoming around 87 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of nearly 32 per cent.

“This exceptional performance reflects Dubai’s commitment to maintaining its leadership as a leading global aviation hub by continuing to provide seamless connections and innovative services.
