Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 23, 2023: The Dubai International Content Market (DICM) 2023 kicked off yesterday at the Jumeirah Conference and Exhibition Center with a remarkable start, witnessing the participation of over 700 attendees from around the world on the first day.

The Dubai International Content Market (DICM 2023) provides an interactive platform for brands in the entertainment, media, and content industries at both the international and regional levels to develop the content industry and explore the region’s market appropriately. Industry leaders and those interested in the media sector seized the opportunity to meet and connect through this global platform, engaging with the aim of delving into the world of media platforms and shaping the future of content creation in this field.

Eng. Anas Al Madani, Deputy Chairman and CEO of the Index Holding Group, emphasized that the DICM 2023 is a purposeful and highly significant platform in the content and media sector to enhance collaborative production prospects between content creators, broadcast platforms, investors, funders, and others.

He stated, “The Dubai International Content Market in its sixth edition has successfully brought together content creators from around the world. This event highlighted the pivotal role that the United Arab Emirates plays in this field, becoming a distinctive destination for production and media companies. The content industry has responded very well to this unique event as a platform for new, innovative, and globally meaningful content, as evidenced by the participation of more than 350 companies from over 30 countries.”

Key highlights from the first day include:

  • The Dubai International Content Market solidified its position in the sector as an international platform, welcoming participants from over 30 countries, fostering global cooperation and exchange. Over 800 meetings took place on the first day, creating a dynamic market where content creators, distributors, and buyers gathered to explore business opportunities and form strategic partnerships.

Fares Al Sayegh, CEO of Roya Media Group in Jordan, commented on the importance of attending events like the Dubai International Content Market, stating, “It is enjoyable and beneficial to meet with industry leaders. The event saw active participation from more than 200 buyers seeking new deals, indicating strong interest in the diverse content offerings presented by exhibitors.

Additionally, four international pavilions at the Dubai International Content Market 2023 showcased the richness of content diversity from different regions, including two pavilions from South Korea, one from Turkey, and another from Russia. Distinguished delegations from Turkey and Japan further added to the international flavor of the Dubai International Content Market, underscoring its importance on the global content stage.
