His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, toured Expo Dubai to inspect the final preparations for hosting the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28). He examined the administrative, logistical, and operational preparations for the event, which is scheduled to commence on November 30.

During the tour, His Highness was accompanied by His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and President of COP28, along with several members of the National Higher Committee overseeing the preparations for COP28. They visited the venue of the global climate summit, the pavilions of participating countries and organizations, as well as the halls that will host various negotiation meetings.

His Highness listened to a presentation from the COP28 organizing team, highlighting the key events and activities expected during the conference. COP28 anticipates the participation of over 160 heads of state and government, 85,000 attendees, and more than five thousand media representatives accredited by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

COP28 holds particular significance as it witnesses the global response to the first global assessment of progress in implementing the goals of the Paris Agreement.
