Emirates is set to enhance its service to Osaka by operating one of its upgraded A380 aircraft starting from June 1, 2024. This makes Osaka the second Japanese destination to receive this upgraded A380 aircraft, featuring the latest products from the airline, which have proven highly popular among passengers. The use of the giant aircraft provides increased capacity for flights to and from Osaka, the third-largest city in Japan and a major economic center. The A380 offers a completely new premium economy cabin, along with updated interiors in first class, business class, and economy class.

Starting from June 1, 2024, Emirates’ A380 with four classes will replace the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft currently serving flights EK316 and EK317 to and from Kansai International Airport in Osaka. By operating the upgraded A380, Emirates will provide an additional weekly capacity between Dubai and Osaka, offering up to 910 seats. This facilitates more connectivity for passengers with onward flights from Dubai to key destinations such as Milan, Madrid, Brazil, Paris, and London. Emirates celebrated the twentieth anniversary of its service between Dubai and Osaka last year. In 2023, the airline transported over 220,000 passengers on more than 360 flights between the two destinations.
