Flydubai has announced the launch of four regular flights to four new destinations in Europe, raising the carrier’s network in Europe to 43 destinations across 21 countries. Flydubai has become the first UAE carrier to operate direct flights to Basel Mulhouse Freiburg Airport starting from August 2, 2024, in addition to its direct flights to the Baltic countries, including Riga International Airport in Latvia starting from October 11, and Tallinn Airport in Estonia, as well as Vilnius International Airport in Lithuania starting from October 12, 2024.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, the CEO of Flydubai, stated, “We are delighted to see our network grow larger than ever with the launch of new destinations. Flydubai’s network today covers 126 destinations, 60% of which were previously unserved destinations not directly connected to Dubai or the UAE with direct flights. Our new services to the Baltic region and Basel will enable more people to travel easily through Dubai’s aviation hub, whether they are visiting Dubai or connecting with Flydubai’s network or beyond through our codeshare partnership with Emirates.”

Commenting on the flight launches, Jeyhun Efendi, Flydubai’s Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce, said, “Europe is an important market for Flydubai, and we are committed to providing convenient and reliable services to more travelers with distinguished in-flight services in terms of products and the passenger experience. With the addition of Basel, Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius, we look forward to welcoming more travelers from Europe to Dubai and beyond to points on our network, including Malaysia, Maldives, Mombasa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Zanzibar.”

Basel Mulhouse Freiburg Airport is located on the borders of northwest Switzerland, Alsace in France, and Baden-Württemberg in Germany, serving as a unique gateway to a wide range of tourist attractions in three different countries in Europe.

Basel, situated on the banks of the Rhine River, serves as the cultural capital of Switzerland. Known for its numerous museums and a unique blend of historical and modern architecture, Basel is also a gateway to the picturesque landscapes of rural Switzerland.

The cities of Riga in Latvia, Tallinn in Estonia, and Vilnius in Lithuania are the capitals of the Baltic countries. They are known for their splendid architecture and old towns that house some UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Flydubai will operate its latest aircraft on these routes, featuring seats that can be converted into flat beds, globally-inspired menus, and hours of entertainment in business class, as well as seats designed to enhance space and comfort in economy class.
