In a journey to discover the healing natural sources for chronic disease treatments in southern Germany, we were accompanied by “Dorota Steinbach,” the author of the book “Secrets of Bavaria.” She is well-acquainted with the secrets of all those Bavarian water springs related to human healing from chronic diseases. The writer is known for her research and writings in revealing the secrets of nature.

Treating Infections and Eye Diseases: Our journey took us to the “Kirschwald” spring, known for its water that treats infections and eye diseases. It is located near the famous “Chiemsee” lake in Bavaria, southern Germany. This ancient spring has been visited by people since the Romans discovered it in ancient times. Despite tremendous medical advances, believers in natural remedies, away from chemical medications, are still eager to visit and fill bottles with its water.

Water companies have also obtained licenses to use these spring waters for selling to people. Therefore, drinking water in Bavaria and northern Austria is considered one of the best in the world because it mostly comes from known natural mineral springs.

The large area between Germany and Austria, where these springs are located, covers about 1,500 square kilometers. It is considered one of the healthiest regions globally, with water rich in elements such as iodine, iron, sulfur, and other minerals that have the ability to heal diseases, treat infections, and provide the body with the necessary energy for vitality.

Thermal Water Baths: Thermal water baths are also prevalent in the numerous health resorts in the region. These waters have temperatures ranging from 37 to 40 degrees Celsius, rich in earth minerals. People resort to them for skincare, muscle and joint problems, and circulatory system diseases. Old salt mines in the area have turned into underground hotels for recovery and healing from respiratory system diseases.

Nature-Based Treatments Recognized by Doctors: Natural treatments are now well-known even among doctors in Germany. For example, Dr. Norbert Witte has developed a method to treat addiction. He takes his patients, who suffer from this ailment, on 8-day tours across mountain tops and slopes, covering distances up to 110 kilometers. They reach altitudes of up to six thousand meters. Although this task may seem impossible for addicts whose addiction reflects on their bodies, he has succeeded amidst the healthy natural atmosphere that significantly contributes to improving their mental state.

Mediterranean Algae Beneficial for Human Health: In the Munich Tourism Fair several years ago, I met the Tunisian doctor “Bahy Bouakkaz,” who informed me that therapeutic tourism is now prevalent on the shores of the Mediterranean, from Egypt to Morocco. Tourists from Germany, Switzerland, France, and Russia come for it. The Mediterranean waters on these shores host rare types of algae and marine plants, exceeding 25 thousand species. After extensive studies, we learned that they are very beneficial to human health, treating arteries diseases, inflammations, obesity, and more. The only difference between the shores of these countries is the varying concentration of grams or half-grams per shore. In addition to the benefits of the naturally salty seawater itself in treatment.

Sea Water as a Treatment for the Poor: The poor living on the shores of the Mediterranean are healthier than those seeking industrial luxury atmospheres. For instance, bathing in the salty Mediterranean waters helps stimulate peripheral blood circulation, alleviate sclerosis pains, and relieve nerve spasms caused by some chronic rheumatic diseases. When a person submerges their body in the sea water up to the neck, their weight decreases by 6 to 10%, providing relief for joint patients. The chemical nature of the sea, with its plasma, supplies the body with essential elements like sodium, calcium, potassium, and chlorine – all elements that joints desperately need. To allow these elements to penetrate the skin, the water temperature should range between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius, which is the temperature found in thermal waters coming from the Earth’s interior.

Mediterranean Water Pollution: Therapy programs on the Mediterranean shores include daily swimming in the sea, walking on the beach, and maintaining a healthy diet, with quantity and quality depending on the patient’s age. Generally, it includes greens, fruits, and grains, with white meat and fish. People might fear the pollution of the Mediterranean shores due to government negligence and the construction of tourist villages. Still, there is a scientific fact confirming that seawater is in constant renewal due to the elements and soluble salts it receives from volcanic eruptions and rivers, at a rate of millions of tons annually. This is in addition to cosmic dust from outer space and the chemical decomposition process of marine organisms themselves.
