Nothing seems ordinary about the world’s largest cruise ship, “Icon of the Seas,” owned by Royal Caribbean. The new ship set sail from the port of Miami on its maiden voyage before sunset on Saturday, measuring approximately 1,200 feet in length and boasting a total weight of 250,800 tons.

The upper part of the ship, resembling a multi-layered birthday cake, features seven swimming pools, tropical vegetable gardens, and twisted water slides in green, pink, blue, and orange hues.

As the billion-dollar vessel sailed to Miami, crossing the Atlantic Ocean with a stop in Puerto Rico, it received a mixed welcome with the sound of fireworks. The disruption led to a halt in traffic along the bridge leading to Miami Beach, equivalent to the tourist ship channel.

Football star Lionel Messi was present during the early excitement of the ship as the “spiritual father” of the “Icon of the Seas.” He christened the ship, consisting of 20 floors, on January 23rd.

The ship is officially the world’s largest cruise ship, and passengers on its maiden seven-night voyage to the eastern Caribbean will enjoy some luxurious and unique experiences.

Finding time to experience everything on board the “Icon of the Seas” is challenging, as the ship promises to keep passengers busy.

With a full capacity of 7,600 guests and a crew of 2,350, the ship features attractions such as a 17,000-square-foot water park, currently the largest of its kind at sea, spanning across decks 16 and 17. It includes six slides, including the tallest slide at sea at 14 meters high, and the first family raft slide into the ocean
