Under the theme “The UAE: Past, Present, and Future,” Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, has announced an art collection at Zayed International Airport.

The artworks offer a new perspective on the rich history, thriving present, and promising future of the UAE. These pieces will be auctioned to support and develop local talent in the UAE’s art community.

This exhibition is part of a collaboration launched to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the airline, featuring 20 renowned artists who have contributed both traditional and digital artworks, commemorating two decades of excellence in aviation.

The artworks are displayed in the premium travel processing area at Etihad Airways’ new headquarters, Zayed International Airport, and will be exhibited from May 8th to July 15th. Guests will have the opportunity to interact with the artworks at the start of their journey and bid on pieces that inspire and captivate them through an online virtual auction.

The collection includes several of the UAE’s most talented artists, including Diaa Alam, an internationally acclaimed artist based in the UAE, known for his skills in Arabic calligraphy and live art performances. His work seamlessly blends three-dimensional Arabic calligraphy, surfaces, and dynamic lines to uniquely represent values such as excellence, compassion, and growth.

Amina Taher, Vice President of Brand, Marketing, and Sponsorships at Etihad Airways, stated, “Through this wonderful initiative, we celebrate the artistic talents of the country and aim to support the cultural community that enriches our lives and the artistic scene in the capital, Abu Dhabi. As part of our 20th anniversary celebration, we have organized an art exhibition that honors the past, present, and future of the UAE, displaying these beautiful artworks at our new headquarters at Abu Dhabi International Airport for our guests to enjoy.”
