The Air Wing of Dubai Police, in collaboration with the Brave Team at Hatta Police Station, rescued a British tourist’s life after he suffered from high blood pressure and severe fatigue while hiking in the mountains of Wadi Hub in Hatta.

Colonel Ali Al Mehri, Director of the Air Wing Center, stated that the details of transferring the tourist to the hospital by helicopter originated from receiving a report from the Brave Team in Hatta area, indicating the presence of a British tourist with his friend engaging in hiking, and that he was suffering from severe fatigue, unable to move and urgently needed helicopter transport due to the difficulty of descending from the high mountain, which could take up to 4 hours.

Colonel Al Mehri confirmed that the helicopter reached a location near the tourist despite the challenging mountain terrain. The Brave Team then worked on carrying and lifting the tourist onto the helicopter using the mounted rescue crane, eventually transporting him to Hatta Hospital for necessary treatment, ensuring that the tourist was in good health and well-being after receiving complete treatment.

First Lieutenant Mohamed Obaid Al Kaabi, head of the specialized Brave Team, emphasized that the team comprising the “Scouting” and “Rescue” units immediately moved after receiving the tourist’s report to the mountainous area near Wadi Hub. The scouting team used a “drone” equipped with the latest thermal systems for search and rescue operations, accurately pinpointed the tourist’s location, and the rescue team equipped with descent and evacuation equipment ascended to him.

Lieutenant Al Kaabi urged the public to promptly call the emergency number 999 at Dubai Police Command and Control Center or use the “SOS” rescue service on Dubai Police app in case of emergency incidents in mountainous areas and valleys.
