“Dubai, UAE – January 4, 2024: The 29th edition of the Dubai International Pharmaceutical and Technology Conference and Exhibition (Dufat 2024) is set to kick off next week, spanning three days from January 9 to 11 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This event is the largest gathering of pharmaceutical companies in the Middle East and Africa, expected to witness its biggest turnout since its inception, attracting over 32,000 visitors and participants from around the world.

Over the past 28 years, Dufat has established itself as a unique global platform, bringing together experts in the pharmaceutical sector. The exhibition provides exceptional facilities for drug suppliers and industry leaders to showcase the latest pharmaceutical products, technologies, and solutions, facilitating the exchange of information, ideas, insights, and innovations in the pharmaceutical sector and its technologies. The pharmaceutical market in the UAE is expected to exceed $4.7 billion by 2025, indicating a significant growth of 27% over the past five years. The UAE offers more than 2,500 locally manufactured medicines, reflecting the country’s strong and distinctive manufacturing capabilities in the pharmaceutical sector. Global estimates suggest that the pharmaceutical market in the Middle East and North Africa exceeds $50 billion, reinforcing the region’s position in the global pharmaceutical and drug industry. Dufat 2024 will host participants from 95 countries worldwide, including 150 speakers delivering 120 lectures and 16 workshops. The exhibition, spanning halls 1 to 8 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, offers 63 Continuing Medical Education (CME) points accredited by the Dubai Health Authority and 22 points in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) from the Hospital Pharmacists Society in Australia.

Simultaneously, the event will host “The Pharma Business Hub,” facilitating direct communication with high-level decision-makers from leading exhibitors at Dufat.
