His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, witnessed a portion of the activities of the 15th edition of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix for Formula 1, held at the Yas Marina Circuit.
During the visit, His Highness met with the CEO of the Formula 1 Group, Stefano Domenicali. The meeting discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation in the field of car racing sports, given the availability of the essential infrastructure that contributes to enabling local talents to participate in global competitions. It also aims to strengthen the position of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix for Formula 1 as a preferred destination for Formula 1 enthusiasts locally, regionally, and internationally.
His Highness met with members of the Emirati “Formula 4” team, as well as Emirati drivers Rashid Al Dhaheri, Hamda Al Qubaisi, and Amna Al Qubaisi. He praised their efforts and achievements, reaffirming the wise leadership’s commitment to supporting talents in various sports fields.
During this tour, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed commended the efforts of the entities involved in the sports events sector and their role in enhancing the emirate’s status as a leading global destination for sports, tourism, and entertainment events. He praised the significance of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix for Formula 1 and its journey since its inaugural edition in 2009, contributing to promoting tourism and diversifying the economy in the United Arab Emirates.
Accompanying His Highness during the visit were individuals including Mohammed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Mansour Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Department of Health, Ahmed Tamim Al Katbi, Chairman of the Department of Government Support, Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development, Saif Saeed Ghobash, the Secretary-General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Abdullah Khouri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Entertainment,” and Saif Rashid Al Nuaimi, the CEO of “Entertainment” company.
