West Five Investments has signed a franchise agreement with Marriott International to open the Marriott Marquis Dubai hotel as part of the Jewel of the Creek project in Dubai. The luxury Marriott Marquis Dubai hotel, consisting of serviced rooms and apartments, is scheduled to open in March 2024. It is part of the first phase of the modern Jewel of the Creek project developed by Dubai Developments. The hotel, whose lease rights belong to West Five Investments, will be operated by Alif Hospitality, an independent hospitality management company based in Dubai.
The signing ceremony took place at the Jewel of the Creek, attended by Sheikh Saeed bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Engineer Issa Al Maidoor (Director-General of Dubai Development Group), Khaled Shaker (Investment and Strategic Projects Director at Dubai Development Group), Narish Khubchandani (Chairman of West Five Investments), Praveen Jobalan (General Manager of West Five Investments), Sandeep Walia (Chief Operating Officer for the Middle East at Marriott International), Pani Haddad (Founder and General Manager of Alif Hospitality), and Neil George (Partner and CEO of Alif Hospitality).
The new Marriott Marquis Dubai hotel is set to open in March 2024 and will feature 590 accommodation units, including 434 fully furnished hotel rooms and suites, as well as 156 fully serviced hotel apartments with views of Dubai Creek and its enchanting skyline. The hotel will include various commercial and entertainment facilities, including six dining and beverage outlets, conference and meeting facilities, a business center, several sports lounges, spa facilities, and swimming pools in each tower. The project will also feature a spacious retail area with a promenade leading to Dubai Creek and a marina with 85 yacht berths.
