Millennium Hotels and Resorts in the Middle East and Africa have announced an innovative partnership with The Story Group, a consultancy specializing in promoting environmental sustainability and social responsibility. The two parties have agreed to commit to biodiversity and positive impact on climate change globally, with a shared goal of planting 100,000 trees worldwide over the next five years.

The initiative aims to rehabilitate 65 hectares of land and offset over 32,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere annually. Trees will be planted in 16 countries, carefully selecting appropriate species according to planting seasons at each location, using the latest technologies provided by The Story Group. Millennium will monitor the carbon footprint of each tree and gather data on species, farms, and locations, engaging employees and customers in the process.

Fahd Abdulrahim Kazim, CEO of Lakhraim and Millennium Hotels and Resorts in the Middle East and Africa, commented on the partnership: “We are pleased to collaborate with The Story Group to combat climate change on both a global and local scale. The aim of this strategic partnership is to make an effective and lasting contribution to global sustainability, with the goal of leaving a positive legacy for future generations. Millennium Hotels and Resorts in the Middle East and Africa prioritize environmental stewardship and community engagement, aiming to contribute to public health locally and globally. Several initiatives aligned with these goals have been implemented.
