Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, said in a post on his page on the “Ex” platform (formerly Twitter): “We welcome in the UAE over 70,000 guests from 198 countries, including heads of states, government leaders, ministers, corporate executives, international organization officials, academics, and media professionals who have landed in our country to discuss one issue: preserving our planet for future generations.”
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid continued, saying: “The task is great, the challenges are significant, but history teaches us that the gathering, cooperation, and unified efforts of people have always been the greatest secret to the prosperity of their civilizations and the continuation of their progress. Wishing everyone success in this humanitarian mission, and we renew our confidence in our national team in hosting and organizing this exceptional international event in the UAE.”
