More than 65 new hotels to open in Egypt this year

The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism announced the achievement of nearly 15 million tourists in 2023, which is the largest number in the history of Egyptian tourism, making Egypt the throne of tourism in Africa for the seventh consecutive year

The ministry confirmed the opening of 65 new hotels in 2024 with a capacity of 20,000 hotel rooms with investments of $ 2.5 billion, led by the Canadian Four Seasons Hotel in Luxor, the French Accor Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, the American Hilton in the Maadi district, the Mandarin Oriental Chinese Hotel in Cairo, the American Hyatt Hotel west of Cairo, in addition to the American Holiday Inn Hotel in New Assiut.

The Emirati hotel brand Vida has announced the opening and operation of its first hotels in Egypt on the North Coast in 2024, while the Egyptian hotel brands come Helnan with two hotels in Alexandria and the North Coast, and Jaz with more than one hotel in Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Cairo.
