Naming Abu Dhabi’s largest airport “Zayed International Airport”

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Special Advisor for Private Affairs at the Presidential Court and Chairman of the Board of Abu Dhabi Airports, attended the launch ceremony of the new name and identity for “Zayed International Airport.” This initiative pays tribute to the memory of the late founder, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, and celebrates his rich legacy and history of timeless achievements that the United Arab Emirates presented to the world in its finest form.

The new identity incorporates elements inspired by the rich Emirati culture and its authentic Arabian heritage. The newly named airport is designed to provide a travel experience that is the most innovative and seamless among global airports in this sector. It aligns with the highest quality standards and exceeds the expectations of travelers.

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan said, “We take great pride in naming the largest airport in Abu Dhabi after the late founder Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace. The unprecedented achievements of the late founder in connecting our nation with the world inspired our commitment to ensuring Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global hub for travel and commerce.”

He added, “On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the State, may God protect him, for his confidence in us to continue advancing in the footsteps of the late founder. His assistance in commemorating his unforgettable legacy, whose impact on us persists to this day, will remain a source of inspiration for future generations.
