Omani hotel revenues up 23.4% by end of 2023

Revenues of hotels in the Sultanate of Oman with a rating of (3-5) stars increased by 23.4% by the end of 2023 to reach RO 299.25 million compared to RO 185.77 million in 2022.

Statistics issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information attributed this increase to the growth of the total number of hotel guests by 27.1%, recording 2.07 million guests by the end of 2023 compared to about 1.63 million guests by the end of 2022, while the occupancy rate recorded a growth of 8.8%.

Statistics showed an increase in the number of Omani guests by 10%, reaching 769.79 thousand guests, and the number of Gulf guests increased by 23.8%, to approximately 198.5 thousand guests and 489 guests, and the number of European guests increased by 43.6%, to reach 517.27 thousand guests.
