«Our Home in Ramadan» celebrates the manifestations of the holy month in Dubai

As part of the “Ramadan in Dubai” campaign, which was launched at the beginning of the holy month under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Media Council, Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Dubai Government Media Office, in partnership with the Farjan Dubai Foundation, has launched the “Our Home in Ramadan” initiative aimed at encouraging the Dubai community to participate in the celebratory aspects of the blessed month of Ramadan, with all its spiritual and social significance, drawing on Dubai’s heritage of celebrating such occasions as part of its cultural and social fabric.

Decorating Facades

The initiative focuses on inviting people to decorate the interiors and exteriors of their homes in a manner that resonates with the spirit of the holy month, avoiding extravagance and adopting a style that aligns with the occasion, emphasizing the spread of celebratory vibes across various parts of the city. This campaign marks the first time that efforts have been coordinated between government and private sector entities as well as at the community level regarding Ramadan celebrations, including various diverse and varied events, initiatives, and activities, with a focus on highlighting the celebratory aspects that distinguish Dubai during this occasion.

Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, the entity overseeing the implementation of the “Ramadan in Dubai” campaign, commended Farjan Dubai’s participation in the campaign and its important role in the “Our Home in Ramadan” initiative. She stated, “Home decoration adds a special charm to Dubai’s occasions and highlights the community’s connection to our authentic Emirati customs and traditions. We appreciate the positive participation and enthusiasm we have witnessed from all our partners in this campaign, which brings together more than 20 government and private entities. We highly value the contributions made by the Farjan Dubai Foundation, including the Our Home in Ramadan initiative, which aligns with the important social dimension the institution is committed to, drawing its name from the concept of the neighborhood, embodying values of cohesion, affection, and cooperation in various occasions.”

Al Suwaidi emphasized that Brand Dubai is keen on showcasing outstanding contributions in the “Our Home in Ramadan” initiative by encouraging homeowners who decorate their homes with different lights for the occasion of the beginning of the holy month to share pictures of the external decorations of their homes and residential buildings on various social media platforms using the campaign’s hashtag (#Ramadan_in_Dubai) or the initiative’s hashtag (#Our_Home_in_Ramadan), contributing to the recognition of these contributions on a wide community scale and encouraging others to participate.
