In its first-ever visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, “Cruise Saudi Arabia,” a company wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund, received the “Diana” cruise ship, a vessel belonging to “Swan Hellenic,” the renowned cruise line, at Yanbu Commercial Port, Al-Bredie Island, and Jeddah Islamic Port.

The “Diana,” a tourist cruise ship, docked at Yanbu Commercial Port for a full day, offering passengers the opportunity to explore the historical neighborhoods of Yanbu, visit the traditional heritage night market, and relish the historical aspects of the city.

On the second day of their voyage, passengers on the “Diana” cruise ship had an exceptional experience as the ship anchored near the coast of Al-Bredie Island. “Cruise Saudi Arabia” introduced a novel beach experience, involving transfers via boats, for a day spent by the seaside.

During the ship’s second visit to Saudi ports, it continued its journey through the Red Sea, docking at Jeddah Islamic Port, where passengers explored the historical district of Jeddah (Al-Balad). This historic area is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, featuring ancient Hijazi architectural-style houses, traditional markets, and popular local restaurants.

Lars Clasen, CEO of Cruise Saudi Arabia, expressed that welcoming the “Diana” tourist cruise ship in Saudi ports for the first time marks another achievement in their efforts to develop the tourism cruise sector. He also expressed pride in continuing to enhance the cruise tour programs in order to enrich visitors’ experiences and offer innovative packages that reflect the Kingdom’s rich heritage and culture.

Captain Kai Okkenin of the “Swan Hellenic” cruise ship shared his delight in Saudi Arabia hosting their cruise destination for the first time.
