Qatar Airways Group has announced the appointment of Engineer Badr Mohammad Al Meer as the new CEO of the group, succeeding the former CEO, Akbar Al Baker.
The group confirmed Akbar Al Baker’s retirement after 27 years of dedicated service as the group’s CEO. Under his leadership, Qatar Airways became one of the world’s top airlines, known for its brand excellence and reliability. The national carrier of Qatar achieved numerous global accolades, including an unprecedented seven-time win of the “World’s Best Airline” award.
