As part of its participation in the “Ramadan in Dubai” campaign, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai launched two new initiatives to welcome visitors and travelers arriving in Dubai during the holy month of Ramadan. This initiative involves frontline officers who will receive travelers arriving in the UAE through air, land, and sea ports with a special stamp bearing the “Ramadan in Dubai” campaign logo and a “Happy Connectivity” card in collaboration with its strategic partner, Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du).
The launch of these two initiatives comes within the framework of the “Ramadan in Dubai” campaign, launched by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Chairman of Dubai Media Council. The campaign is coordinated and supervised by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Dubai Media Office, in partnership with more than 20 government and private entities in the emirate, to highlight the celebratory aspects that adorn the emirate in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan with all its authentic social customs and traditions under one umbrella, ensuring the highest level of coordination and highlighting the city’s distinguished celebratory scene throughout the days of the blessed month of Ramadan.
On this occasion, His Excellency Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, emphasized that the launch of “Residency Dubai” for two initiatives as part of its participation in the “Ramadan in Dubai” campaign aims to highlight the aspects of welcoming Dubai in the blessed month of Ramadan and to ensure the happiness of visitors by conveying the message and values of the holy month to all visitors in a civilized and creative manner.
He stated that this initiative aligns with Dubai’s constant keenness to welcome its visitors in a unique manner that reflects its distinctive character as a city of creativity and innovators, affirming that “Residency Dubai” spares no effort in enhancing the visitor experience and welcoming travelers in a manner befitting Dubai’s global status as the best city in the world to live, work, and visit.
His Excellency Major General Mohammed Al Marri added that these initiatives reflect the continuous efforts of “Residency Dubai” towards enhancing the visitor and traveler experience through various air, land, and sea ports of Dubai, reflecting its commitment to providing the best practices and highest standards of services and unique experiences for guests and visitors of the country, as well as all travelers, citizens, and residents alike, ensuring the reception of Dubai’s visitors during this period of the year with a distinctive Ramadan spirit and a creative approach that reflects Dubai’s position as a center of innovation in the region.
He explained that the community initiatives of the General Directorate come within the framework of its continuous efforts to consolidate Dubai’s position as a leading tourist destination globally and reflect the emirate’s commitment to providing unique experiences that give the visitor the best possible impressions from the moment of arrival until departure, carrying unforgettable memories.
