The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia achieved a 156% recovery in the number of tourist arrivals during the year 2023 compared to 2019, according to the World Tourism Organization report issued in January 2024

The great successes achieved by the Kingdom in the tourism sector contributed to leading the Middle East region to the global recovery in the field of tourism, in relative terms, as the only region that achieved growth at pre-Corona pandemic levels, as the recovery rate in the number of inbound tourists reached 122% during the year 2023 compared to 2019.

According to the UNWTO report, the global recovery rate in 2023 was at 88% of pre-pandemic levels, with an estimated 1.3 billion international arrivals, while international tourism revenues reached $1.3 trillion, approaching 93% from $1.5 trillion achieved in 2019.
