The “Heart of Europe” project, with an estimated cost of $5 billion, is part of the larger “World Islands” project, consisting of a wide range of artificial islands shaped like the Atlas. The project is expected to be launched in January 2026.
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has entered into talks with Kleindienst Group, the real estate developer of the “Heart of Europe” project in Dubai, to operate three hotels planned to be built on the project’s islands.
InterContinental, represented by its subsidiary Virginie Group, signed a deal in early November with Kleindienst to build the “Marbella Resort.” Haitham Mattar, CEO of InterContinental Hotels Group, stated, “There are two hotel plots on the island where the Virginie Collection, which is part of InterContinental, is, and we are currently in talks to explore how to invest in these two plots.”
Employees at the “Heart of Europe” project will speak Spanish, and the hours will be set to Spanish time. Guests will be required to pay in euros instead of the local currency.
The “Heart of Europe” project aims to create a unique and luxurious experience, with its distinctive islands inspired by European culture. The InterContinental Hotels, known for their premium services, are set to contribute to the project’s offerings, providing guests with a sophisticated and world-class hospitality experience.
Please note that details may change as the project progresses, and it is recommended to stay updated through official announcements from the involved parties.
