“In February, the UAE is set to become the primary destination for international events and activities, hosting a series of conferences, exhibitions, and major events that reflect its influential role in shaping the future of various vital sectors on a regional and global scale.

The UAE is a global hub for hosting and organizing specialized exhibitions and conferences, as evident throughout February 2024. The country will host a range of international economic, health, scientific, and sports events with broad international participation and involvement.

  • World Government Summit: From February 12 to 14, Dubai will host the 11th edition of the World Government Summit under the theme “Envisioning Future Governments.” The summit will bring together heads of states, governments, more than 80 international and regional organizations, as well as 120 government delegations and a select group of global thought leaders and experts, with over 4,000 participants expected.

The new edition’s agenda includes six main themes and 15 global forums examining major global future trends in over 110 main interactive dialogue sessions. The summit will feature 200 global figures, including presidents, prime ministers, experts, and futurists, along with over 23 ministerial meetings and executive sessions attended by more than 300 ministers.

  • WTO Ministerial Conference: Abu Dhabi will host the 13th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization from February 26 to March 1, 2024. The conference will be attended by ministers and prominent representatives from 164 countries and customs unions that are members of the WTO.

The Ministerial Conference, held every two years, serves as the highest decision-making body within the WTO.

  • International Conference on Dialogue among Civilizations and Tolerance: The UAE Research Center for Studies and Research, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, will organize the International Conference on Dialogue among Civilizations and Tolerance on February 20 and 21. The event, sponsored by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, with support from the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau, will attract over 50 speakers and 2,000 participants from within and outside the country.

The conference will cover diverse topics, including the exchange of historical experiences, the role of culture in promoting coexistence, and the importance of understanding and respecting cultural differences in contemporary societies.

  • Global Islamic Economic Forum: The 14th edition of the Global Islamic Economic Forum, taking place in Abu Dhabi from February 6 to 8, 2024, will focus on shaping the necessary foundations for sustainable development. It will discuss key challenges, latest strategies, and innovative solutions to stimulate and lead economic and social development.

The forum provides a global platform for discussing the latest economic developments and trends while promoting values of peace, justice, and equality. It contributes to strengthening dialogue, exchanging ideas and knowledge between government officials, academics, and business leaders from around the world to discuss the best ways to shape the future of the global economy.

  • Investopia”: Abu Dhabi is hosting the third edition of the Investopia Summit from February 28 to 29 under the theme “Emerging Economic Frontiers: Investing in Fast-Growing Sectors in the New Economy.” The event will feature prominent local and international figures, including investors, government officials, decision-makers, and entrepreneurs.
  • Beach Soccer World Cup: Dubai is set to host the 12th edition of the Beach Soccer World Cup from February 15 to 25, with the participation of 16 top teams from around the world. The tournament draw, held in October last year, revealed several exciting matchups in the group stage, featuring four groups of four teams each. The competition will take place over 11 days at a specially constructed stadium in Dubai Design District.
  • Gulfood 2024: The 29th edition of the Gulfood Exhibition will kick off in Dubai from February 19 to 23, bringing together key players in the food and beverage sector worldwide to outline the future trends of this rapidly evolving industry. The exhibition will gather influencers in the food industry worldwide for discussions and workshops on industry challenges, involving major food brands alongside government representatives from various countries.
  • Dubai Economic and Professional Entities Conference: The fourth edition of the Dubai Economic and Professional Entities Conference will take place on February 27 and 28 at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme “Multiplying Value: The Role of Entities in Empowering Change.” The event will attract officials, experts, and CEOs from various sectors and fields worldwide, serving as a platform for communication and opinion exchange to meet the needs and aspirations of their members.
  • Step Conference: Dubai will host the 12th edition of the Step Conference, a technology-focused event, on February 21 and 22. The conference will feature 500 startups in more than 500 meetings and discussion sessions, along with over 150 investment firms providing funding sources estimated at $8.2 billion. The event, with the participation of 8,000 attendees from around the world, contributes to Dubai’s global position in the technology sector.
  • Arab Women’s Games: Sharjah is preparing to host the seventh edition of the most significant Arab women’s sports event, the “Arab Women’s Games,” organized by the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation from February 2 to 12. The organizing committee approved eight sports for the competition, including volleyball, table tennis, basketball, archery, fencing, athletics, and karate.
    • Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival: The Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa), located at the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, will organize the seventh edition of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival on February 3 and 4, 2024. The event will feature over 100 speakers and leaders in entrepreneurship and business industries from 15 countries, offering insights into their success stories and ways to overcome challenges. Attendees will gain comprehensive information and inspiring insights for success in the entrepreneurial world.
    • “Interconnectedness and Communication”: The Ras Al Khaimah Arts Festival 2024 will kick off its events at the Red Island Heritage Village on Friday, February 2. The festival’s program for this year focuses on the theme of “Movement” and promises a immersive cultural experience that blends heritage and modernity. The program includes organized performances by over a hundred artists, diverse educational experiences, public discussions, and live shows.
    • “Arab Aviation Summit”: Ras Al Khaimah will host the eleventh edition of the “Arab Aviation Summit” on February 27 and 28. The summit, held under the theme “Envisioning the Future of Travel,” brings together leaders in the aviation sector, decision-makers, experts, and innovators to exchange knowledge, establish partnerships, and set new standards for the future of the aviation and travel sector regionally and globally.
