The Green Mountain Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman is considered one of the states rich in many attractive opportunities, especially given its exceptional weather and unique natural features, alongside the government support provided to investors. This positive environment has reflected in the number of visitors to the governorate, which reached 30,867 by the end of the first quarter of this year, while the tourism sector’s infrastructure in the governorate is reinforced by 16 hotel establishments offering various accommodation options.
Ahmed bin Hamad Al Nabhan, a member of the Municipal Council of the Green Mountain Governorate, stated that a major tourism investment project will soon be implemented in the Green Mountain Governorate, specifically in the “Hayl Al Masbat” area overlooking Wadi Bani Kharous and other areas of the South Al Batinah Governorate. This project is set to be one of the largest tourism, economic, and investment projects in the Interior Governorate, with the direction towards constructing another road to ascend the Green Mountain through the South Al Batinah Governorate supporting tourism investment in the governorate.
His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Mansour Al Ghafili, the Governor of the Green Mountain, affirmed that investment in the tourism sector in the governorate represents a golden opportunity for investors, given the completion of fundamental infrastructure pillars in the governorate, which has seen tangible development and qualitative leap in various aspects and fields. The Governor further added that many investors are keen on seizing available opportunities, and the governorate continues to receive significant attention and continuous support from the wise government, having witnessed numerous projects since the beginning of the renaissance, with more projects ongoing and increasing.
Several developmental, service, economic, investment, and tourism projects have been executed, with some projects still in progress. Additionally, an announcement will soon be made about the opening of a hotel establishment in the Green Mountain Governorate. The diversity of tourist attractions has positively influenced investment opportunities in the tourism sector, making it a sustainable national option and a contributor to the economic development of the governorate and the province in general.
