Through the implementation of the All Local Tree Numbering Programme in Wild Habitats and Nature Reserves in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, EAD aims to number approximately 100,000 native trees of Ghaf, Samar and Sidr trees that grow naturally in wild habitats and reserves. The program extends to cover trees in city and urban parks and road belts through the Department of Municipalities and Transport program to number trees, in addition to numbering local trees in farm areas and tourist sites in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority and the Department of Culture and Tourism.

DEWA has expanded the implementation of the programme within the framework of DEWA’s cooperation with its strategic partners to protect the natural heritage of local trees and components of biodiversity in the emirate.

The program includes collecting data on trees that comply with the requirements of the databases approved by the Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi.
