The renowned Waldorf Astoria, a luxury resort and hotel brand under the Hilton group (NYSE: HLT), announced today the long-awaited opening of its first branch in the Seychelles, the Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island Resort.

The new resort features an exquisite collection of 50 seafront villas with personalized concierge service. The villas range from one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom options to a five-bedroom main villa with spacious gardens. The resort combines the distinctive Waldorf Astoria service with the stunning natural landscapes of Platte Island, offering an exceptional experience for discerning travelers.

On this occasion, Guy Hutchinson, President of Hilton’s Middle East and Africa region, expressed, “We are delighted to launch the Waldorf Astoria brand in the Seychelles and unveil a unique destination that combines high-level hospitality with captivating scenery on Platte Island. Charming Classic Design

The Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island Resort is distinguished by its unique architectural design, elegant earth-toned décor, stunning artworks, and luxurious furnishings. It provides breathtaking views of the surrounding environment, giving guests a sense of belonging. At its center stands the iconic Waldorf Astoria clock inspired by the traditional Moulin Kopra used on the island in the past. The resort’s décor draws inspiration from coconut palm trees, and the lobby is adorned with eye-catching curtains made of hanging threads adorned with seashells.

The turtle-inspired villas, derived from the hawksbill turtle shell, feature multifaceted and transformable shapes. They have roofs that mimic the fan shape, extending over wooden terraces, and are built away from the beach with expansive gardens serving as a tranquil haven where sea turtles lay their eggs.

Waldorf Astoria brings its legendary culinary expertise to Platte Island in the Seychelles, with the new resort featuring six restaurants and lounges offering the finest global and local flavors.
