More than 70,000 visitors attended the closing ceremony of the “Tarout Palace Garden” event.

The third edition of the “Tarout Palace Garden” initiative, organized by the Tarout Charitable Society in partnership with the Municipality of Al-Qatif, concluded yesterday evening after eight days on the grounds of the historic Tarout Castle.

Zuhair Al-Wahid, the president of the Tarout Charitable Society, explained that the initiative witnessed significant turnout, with more than 70,000 visitors engaging with the educational, cultural, and touristic programs offered through 60 diverse booths and 20 various and renewable activities covering tourism routes, artistic exhibitions, heritage aspects, and craftsmanship, in addition to activities tailored for children and families.

Al-Wahid emphasized that the initiative successfully achieved its main objective of supporting productive families, artisans, and owners of traditional professions, as well as reviving and sustaining heritage on the land of Tarout Island. He expressed gratitude to the Governor of Al-Qatif for inaugurating and sponsoring the initiative, as well as to the partners, supporters, and sponsors for the success of these activities in its third edition.

On his part, Saleh Al-Qarni, the mayor of Al-Qatif Municipality, pointed out that the initiative witnessed a significant qualitative leap this year, with the participation of artisans, productive families, and tourist guides, along with 350 volunteers, who dedicated their efforts to serving visitors and tourists. They worked on highlighting the historical, cultural, and touristic aspects that characterize Al-Qatif Governorate in general, leading to the great success achieved by the initiative and its accompanying events in portraying the bright image and providing a rich, enjoyable tourist experience, attracting a larger number of tourists.
