As part of the airline’s expansion of its footprint, Etihad Airways today announced the addition of the Qassim region of Saudi Arabia to its growing list of destinations.
This brings the number of destinations to the Kingdom to four, in a move aimed at expanding its network and enhancing connectivity in the Middle East.
From 15 June 2024, Etihad Airways will connect Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi directly with Prince Nayef Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Qassim with four seasonal weekly flights.
Eric Dee, Etihad Airways’ Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, said: “The launch of the new service to Qassim this year is not only about introducing a new destination, but is also a celebration of 20 years of connecting the UAE capital Abu Dhabi with the rich culture and diverse economic opportunities that Saudi Arabia has to offer.
