Flydubai has reported sustainable growth in passenger numbers since the beginning of the current year.

Since the start of 2024, Flydubai’s network has expanded with the commencement of operations to Mombasa, Langkawi, Penang, Al Jouf, and the Red Sea.

The carrier also announced an expansion of its European network with the launch of flights to Basel, Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius.

With the commencement of its summer seasonal destinations between June and October, the carrier’s network grows to over 125 destinations in 58 countries.

Flydubai transported approximately five million passengers from January 1 to April 28, 2024, representing a 13% increase compared to last year.

Flydubai CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith stated, “Flydubai continues to expand its network consistently, and I am pleased to see our operations growing further in Southeast Asia with the addition of Malaysia, along with ongoing expansion in Africa and Europe in particular. Despite ongoing delays in aircraft deliveries, our passenger numbers have grown since the beginning of this year as capacity increases.”

It’s worth noting that Flydubai’s network comprises more than 125 destinations in 58 countries, with over 90 of these destinations previously not directly connected with flights from Dubai or served by an Emirati national carrier from Dubai.
