The Saudi Arabian company, Red Sea International Group, developer of one of the most ambitious tourism projects in the world, has announced its readiness to welcome the first international flight to the Red Sea International Airport (RSI).

The flight, operated by Emirates’ flydubai airline from Dubai International Airport, is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, April 18, marking the inauguration of the new international route. There will be two weekly flights to the Red Sea International Airport every Thursday and Sunday, coinciding with the regular domestic flights from Riyadh and Jeddah operated by Saudi Arabian Airlines since September 2023. With the arrival of flydubai’s inaugural flight, there will now be a total of 8 regular flights per week to and from the Red Sea International Airport.

This move will significantly benefit the residents of the Red Sea regions along the western coast of Saudi Arabia, as the Red Sea International Airport will connect them to the world through Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, allowing them to experience different cultures and connect with the world through flydubai. Additionally, the airport will serve as a pivotal point in global air navigation routes, being closest to one of the most beautiful destinations known for its enchanting landscapes, golden beaches, and stunning marine environment. This reinforces Saudi Arabia’s presence on the global tourism map and contributes to the economic development of the region, in line with the objectives of Vision 2030.
